Massed U.S. infantry in blue uniforms flood against Larkin's Ridge, forcing the British left to give ground with no hope of regaining it. The bulk of the British now take a stand on the crest of the ridge (marked by black dice). The Americans carried the day; the British were forced by the worsening tactical situation to withdraw to fight at a future date.
